Humble apologies. I'm just about to check in a fixed char.cc (after a full 
compile of the whole directory).

The reason for the screw up is the nascent floating frame support makes 
KWGroupManager a subclass of KWCharAnchor, to implement the relationship 
between the two...I somehow managed to check in the version with this stuff 
rather than the safe version.
