Stephan's point should be well taken.  An advanced calculator doesn't have
to be included in KOffice.  I'm getting ready to do a Simulink clone as an
addition to Octave and it will be a KDE app, just not part of KOffice.  It
more naturally fits as part of Octave.  The Octave team also does have
making a GUI on their TODO/projects list.  Anyway, those interested email me
directly so we don't degenerate into an off-topic discussion.
