Subject:    Recognizing qt

I cannot configure koffice. It does not recognize the qt snapshot, which
is 19991128 and installed at /usr/local/lib/qt/. QTDIR is set to this
value. /etc/ld.so.conf has this line and I ran liconfig. I even tried
configuring with --with-qt-dir=/usr/local/lib/qt/.

What have I missed?

It is vital that I get a presentation package ASAP. Magicpoint stopped
working an upgrade ago and I am looking at transparencies at this point.
Any clues appreciated.
