Hi,

I have kdesupport, kdelibs, kdebase, koffice from tonight's cvs (approx. 01:00
am CET).

Everything apart from kdebase compiled flawlessly on an intel Celeron
with SuSE6.2. I didn't use any particular options for ./configure (apart from
--prefix).

In kdebase, I get:
make[3]: Leaving directory `/opt/kde2/kdebase/kwmmodules/kpager'
make[3]: Entering directory `/opt/kde2/kdebase/kwmmodules'
make[3]: Nothing to be done for `all-am'.

make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2

koffice compiled without problem, but only after I manually removed 'kdiagram'
and 'plugins' from TOPSUBDIRS.

All koffice components start up, but with minor glitches. kword, e.g., gives
after starting dcopserver and kded:
/opt/kde2/bin > kword
KStdDirs::findResDir(): can't find "kword.xpm" in type "icon".
KStdDirs::findResDir(): can't find "kword.xpm" in type "mini".

so the icons in the template dialog don't appear right (I assume)
Then I open a document, play around with it, and embed a kspread object. This
gives:

koffice (lib kofficecore): KoDocument::loadFromURL(
/opt/kde2/share/apps/kword/templates/Wordprocessing/PlainText.kwt ) koffice
(lib kofficecore): PATTERN=<?xm koffice (lib kofficecore): KoDocument::load(

Speicherzugriffsfehler

the Speicherzugriffsfehler (segfault, no idea why it writes this in german)
occurs when I click on the kspread object (so the object gets displayed, but I
cannot use it).

The same or similar things happen with all other koffice components when I try
to embed. Is this just not yet fully implemented, or should it work normally?

Best,
  Claus
