I am eager to try the KOffice suite and so I have downloaded the
required packages from the KOffice site (QT, Mico, Kdelibs, and
KOffice). Both QT and Mico installed without a hitch. However, I'm
having a difficult time installing Kdelibs. I am following the install
guide found on the "Download and Install the Source" page at
koffice.kde.org. This guide has been helpful, I wish more developers
would post a guide for installing all required libraries. After running
the configure script in the kdelibs directory I have run "make all"
which does as one expects until I receive this message:
make[2]: Entering directory `/home/pepperta/Downloads/kdelibs/corba'
Making all in kom
make[3]: Entering directory `/home/pepperta/Downloads/kdelibs/corba/kom'
/usr/local/bin/idl --relative-paths --query-server-for-narrow --any
--c++-suffix cc ./kom.idl
make[3]: *** [kom.h] Segmentation fault (core dumped)
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/pepperta/Downloads/kdelibs/corba/kom'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/pepperta/Downloads/kdelibs/corba'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/pepperta/Downloads/kdelibs'
make: *** [all-recursive-am] Error 2
I have tried making kom.h manually with "make kom.h" to which I just get
a Segmentation fault (core dumped)
Any help would be appreciated.
