Hi,
I am trying to compile Koffice on RedHat Linux 5.2 (2.0.36). I have
followed the instructions, successfully compiling python, mico and
corba. When I run configure for Koffice it comes back with the message
"checking for giflib ... configure: error: You need giflib30. Please
install the kde support package".
I have installed a newer version of the support package
(kdesupport-1_1-5rh5x_i386) but the same message still appears.  I have
found libgif.so.3 and libgif.so.3.0.0 in my /usr/lib so configure ought
to find it !

I have looked in your FAQ but was unable to see an error like this one.

Any ideas of whats wrong ?
