It would be great if KSpread stays "slim" and all the extra 
functionality (e.g. financial, statistical, technical,...)
is loaded on demand at runtime. 
I don't know much about CORBA, but AFAIK this should be possible.

As I'm quite new to KOffice I don't know if you (the KSpread
maintainer) have already done/planed to do that...
