hi,

your config seems the same like i use. I was going the same way as you a
few days before now.
Thats why I'll give yuo some suggestions:

It is here a totaly "state of the art", "be-on-the-first-line" development
environment. I've to learn to use the latest, even development state libs,
bin, scripts etc. I've learned a lot new stuff this way. A RPM could not
be the latest version (reading in this group, it a lot of work to build an
RPM and not worse for an interim dev. release)

- USE automake 1.4
- EVER compile the libs (like QT) with the same compiler (gcc 2.7.x versa
egcs 1.1.x) like your KOffice
- USE cvsup
