The issue is in the layout, Xkb doesn't support "multiple keysyms per keypress" whch means one \
key can't produce multiple characters, the writer of the Arabic layout for xkb tried to get \
around this by using the unicode ligature directly which is wrong and shouldn't happened. In \
the last xkeyboard-config released all lam-alef keyes were removed untill the xkb bug is fixed. \
