I rebuild the whole koffice with debug instead of release and that worked. 
However, I have another problem when I start e.g. Krita:

$ krita
findServiceByDesktopPath: kritapart.desktop not found
findServiceByDesktopPath: Office/krita.desktop not found
krita(12511)/koffice (lib komain): "krita" part.desktop not found.

krita(12511)/koffice (lib komain): Run 'kde4-config --path services' to see 
which directories were searched, assuming kde startup had the same 
environment as your current shell.

krita(12511)/koffice (lib komain): Check your installation (did you install 
KOffice in a different prefix than KDE, without adding the prefix 
to /etc/kderc ?)

The result of printenv is:

None of the KOffice applications work, but KDE4 works just fine. What is wrong 
here?
