I'm trying to use kword to create a simple document with a few formulas.

My issue is that the shortcuts that do one action in the text component does a \
different thing in the formula component. 

The example I can give is Ctrl+U, that enables underline in the text component, and \
enables superscript in the formula component.

The text component has the superscript shortcut unassigned, and the formula component \
has an underline-like mode activated by a Ctrl+shift+U shortcut.

There are probably other things like this; 

As an aside, it is quite difficult to find out the shortcuts for the style options in \
kword, since the style toolbar icons do not have equivalent menu entries. \
