Hello As Thomas just mentioned, Kexi and KexiDB in particular is aimed at those tasks. Feel free to do some research and start from scratch with native queries, _but_ note that your SQL statements will be specific to data-backend. This is normal once you use QtSQL. The queries are getting more specific as soon as you make them more complex. Moreover, here's example: performing conversion of db data by hand, e.g. by simply populating tables with raw data converted to QString(), without koffice-level database drivers/providers is the pre-2004 state of Kexi project. Joerg, optionally we can meet on #koffice irc channel as there are obvious misconceptions about what is possible to do and whether 'from scratch' approach is required. I am curious whether you are interested in joining us in some way. -- regards / pozdrawiam, Jaroslaw Staniek Sponsored by OpenOffice Polska (http://www.openoffice.com.pl/en) to work on Kexi & KOffice: http://www.kexi.pl/en, http://www.koffice.org KDE3 & KDE4 Libraries for MS Windows: http://kdelibs.com, http://www.kde.org ____________________________________ koffice mailing list koffice@kde.org To unsubscribe please visit: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice
