I've recently tried the new lotus symphony office that IBM is letting people use for free (for now). I thought, that since Konqueror is such a super-duper app, and koffice is made into kparts (I think) that maybe some kind of integration option with Knqueror could be used? By this I mean, use the tabs like in symphony for each separate document, and then use the side bar like the meta bar for all the app specific settings (fonts and size for kword, functions and cell formatting for kspread etc.) Koffice could still exist in it's current functionality, but maybe offer that kind of integration for users who like that tabbed, all in one interface. Since dolphin is taking over file browsing, maybe this would be a good place for Konqueror to shine as a power app again. > Why not introduce tabbed browsing into KOffice? I'd prefer to keep the different applications in separate windows because they have different menu structures and tool-bars. -- Regards, Terry North If you try to please everyone, no one will like it. ____________________________________ koffice mailing list koffice@kde.org To unsubscribe please visit: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice
