[root@sente]~jesse/build/koffice-1.4.90# rpm -q kdelibs-devel
kdelibs-devel-3.5.1-0.1.fc4
The proximate cause of failure is that uic does not generate the line
#include <klineedit.h>
even though klineedit.h is installed in /usr/include/kde. In config.log:
configure:30707: /usr/lib/qt-3.3.4/bin/uic -L /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/designer -
nounload -impl actest.h actest.ui > actest.cpp
The test which is failing is
if test -f actest.cpp && grep klineedit actest.cpp > /dev/null; then
Googling through "the literature":

One suggestion here is that the problem is caused by kdewidgets.so
being stripped. Can I get an unstripped version for FC4 (if it
matters) i386?

I have never installed any second version of Qt.

I do have /usr/lib/kde3/plugins/designer/kdewidgets.*
UIC knows where it is.

Qt is multithreaded.
QMAKE_LIBS_QT = -lqt-mt

I uninstalled and re-installed kdlibs and kdelibs-devel with no
success. The un-install got rid of all my plugins EXCEPT kdewidgets.
I was somewhat disappointed that after "yum remove qt-designer", yum
could not install qt-designer again (complains about my version of
qt-devel)... thus I am loathe to trust that yum/FC4 is able to rebuild
my qt/kde installation if I remove/re-install everything (though I'm
tempted to scrap it all and rebuild with konstruct).
