Hi Arthur,
please check if you have the development package for X11 (either xorg or
xfree86) installed. It seems that you installed only the X Server itself, but
not the development packages.
If you don't know what this means for you, then you should give us more input:
* what distribution are you using
* what X11 related packages do you have installed, which do you NOT have
installed?
* the output of ./configure
