Dear friends:

I downloaded the postgresql files required from the web plus the wv2 
file that was kindly offered to me by Tomas and installed them. This 
time the configure is nearly perfect. The only thing missing, as you can 
see below, is the WordPerfect filter. Yet, if you look at the make 
install for the wp filter and its location in /usr/local, you can see 
that it is in fact fully installed. So, all I need now is to figure out 
how to make Koffice recognize the WP filter.

One other last question: Should I install Koffice with -- prefix=/usr or 
with --prefix=/usr/lib/kde3 ?

You're missing libwpd 0.8 or newer. KWord's WordPerfect import filter will
not be compiled. You can download libwpd from http://libwpd.sf.net or
install it from appropriate binary package.
