My .xsession-errors file says "koffice (filter manager): ERROR: Couldn't create the filter." However, if I run Konsole and type "kword /home/gjditchf/foo.doc", kword opens the file and displays it without any difficulty. If I click on a .kwd file in Konqueror, kword opens it without any difficulty, either. Right now I'm having this problem with 'KWord 1.3.5 (Using KDE 3.4.0 Level "a" SUSE 9.2 UNSUPPORTED)'. The SuSE 9.2 system was built by upgrading a 9.1 system, so it isn't a fresh install. The KDE installation is from SuSE's KDE Supplementary RPMs. Everything is up-to-date as of a few hours ago; kword is from the koffice-wordprocessing-1.3.5-9 RPM, and konqueror is from kdebase3-3.4.0-12. However, I have had this problem with SuSE 9.1 and various KDE 3.3 RPM sets from the Supplementary RPMs. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do SuSE's supplementary RPMs work for you? ____________________________________ koffice mailing list koffice@mail.kde.org To unsubscribe please visit: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice
