Hi everybody,
Some of you might have noticed that I have started to do a little about the
old KChart. I have been tidying up code, tidying the GUI, fixing bugs and
adding one or two features.
I am starting to like the way it behaves now, so I think the time has come to
let other people chime in. So even though not all issues are fixed, is there
anybody who would like to take a few minutes and run KChart through its
paces?
I would be very interested in hearing what you think still needs fixing before
the upcoming KOffice 1.4. You can see what I have already thought of myself
in the quite extensive TODO file. But what have I forgotten?
I am especially interested in usability: What would make it a better
application, and what would make it easier to use? Shortcuts, tooltips, GUI
changes, whatever. More features will also come, but after 1.4.
I am also very interested in your experiences together with KSpread. However,
please note that there are a few known issues with the KSpread / KChart
combo, in particular printing.
Any takers? NOTE: This is not only a call to developers. Ordinary users are
most welcome as well. And if I have forgotten a relevant mailing list, then
don't hesitate to forward this mail to them.
Thanks in advance
Inge Wallin
de facto, although not official, maintainer of KChart
