FYI: 

I think I have somewhat of a workaround, which may be useful for some
people. It appears if you export the presentation as a HTML
presentation, it does include the notes at the bottom. It doesn't print
all that nicely (splits onto two pages) but this should fix that, and
allow one to print the whole set (slightly out of order):

Then, cd into the presentation directory

        cd pics && for i in slide_*.png ; do convert $i -resize 500 $i 
        ; done
        cd ../html && html2ps -L *html | lp -d $printer
