Hello,
still struggling for tomorrow's install fest.

I am trying to follow the instructions I got here last month.
Again, kpresenter, kword, etc... exit without any message.

the check install script says:

[marco@polaris marco]$ ./check_koffice_install.sh
Looking for kwordpart.desktop under services dir:
/home/marco/.kde/share/services/
Looking for kwordpart.desktop under services dir: /usr/share/services/
Looking under applnk dir: /home/marco/.kde/share/applnk-redhat/
Looking under applnk dir: /var/lib/menu/kde/Applications/

Now looking by filename

Looking under applnk dir: /home/marco/.kde/share/applnk-redhat/
Looking under applnk dir: /var/lib/menu/kde/Applications/
***** No kword.desktop with X-KDE-NativeMimetype in it was found!
Installation problem.

even if *there* are good kword.desktop files (both links to \
/usr/local/kde/share/applnk/Office/kword.desktop ):

[marco@polaris marco]$  grep -i mimetype
.kde/share/applnk/kword.desktop
MimeType=application/x-kword;application/msword;text/rtf
X-KDE-NativeMimeType=application/x-kword
[marco@polaris marco]$  grep -i mimetype
.kde/share/applnk-redhat/kword.desktop
MimeType=application/x-kword;application/msword;text/rtf
X-KDE-NativeMimeType=application/x-kword
