(This is the latest update that fixed the aspell problem in ./config - although that didn't work either). 1 - If I try to configure the Spellchecker, I get the "font symbol not found" error message (as reported earlier). 2 - If I select a block of text or a single word, the spellchecker runs fine. But if try to check the entire document, the spellchecker rushes through each and every word in the document, without pausing, until it reaches the end. It goes through every word in about fifteen seconds and does NOT stop to allow a correction. Part of the problem has something to do with the the way FC1 deals with KDE and Aspell: The FC1 rpm of aspell installs it in /usr/bin - but the Aspell source version installs it in /usr/local. However, when I installed the source version and removed the RPM the entire KDE desktop went ballistic and refused to acknowledge that aspell was there (gave me the "unable to start Aspell/Ispell" message reported earlier. When I attempted to install the source version of aspell using prefix=/usr - the "make install" crashed with the error message: I am unable to install aspell.h in a folder that ends with anything other than /usr/local/lib - even though I specified that folder in the ./config script. - -- Brian S Monroe brian@bass-x.net Registered Linux user: 346248 http://counter.li.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.3 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAOB8FPg9psgApoJURArA/AJ9oQhhK3yhwOqWWP6zWqsZNGkLNzQCdGB72 yW7c80eO4JBmwwAljMQO8bs= =FXOM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ____________________________________ koffice mailing list koffice@mail.kde.org To unsubscribe please visit: https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice
