Dear developers of KOffice,

Mr. Tinkl, thank you for your suggestion, but I *do* have KDEbase installed
(yes, arts, kdelibs, kdebase, koffice and more) and yes, the country is set
to Slovakia. I run Mandrake 9.1, however the mdk packages of KDE are
removed, I use the CVS version instead.

KWrite works fine in this aspect, but I need formatted text.

Further, what I found and is/was interesting: KOffice 1.2 underlined my
misspelled words, KOffice 1.3 doesn't (though I told it to do so) and what
is strange: there is some encoding problem around spellchecking. It behaves
like LyX, when I forget to add all the slovak and/or czech extra characters
that are not available in latin1, like it ignores "čš" in "väčšiu", what is
valid slovak word and tries to give me suggestions instead of "vä" that is
no valid slovak word. When it tries to give me suggestions (context menu),
it also seems to ignore these characters.

To show you a proof of what I say, attached you may find the output of kword
while trying to spellcheck the file. I hope this helps.

I know, this is not a wishing well, but nevertheless, It would be of great
help, if, having the cursor in a word and then selecting Bold, Underline,
Italics, etc. the format of the whole word would change.

Cheers

 Zoltan
