Can you give more information here? (If your document has pictures, then may 
be this is fixed in KOffice 1.3 RC1.)

You can try the RTF export. You will perhaps get some results. Otherwise there 
is HTML (in extended mode). (Be careful that KWord cannot really import 
HTML.)
