HOWEVER
KDE is surely QT's ultimate expression. As GNU/Linux rise as the
non-microsoft alternative to desktop - and it is happening faster
now, KDE will gain market share.

I am tired of seeing the same people that propose GNU/Linux
automatically coming up with OO - OO is a burden to use when compared
to Koffice. However, printing shortcomings like this one - loosing
resolution of all images that are printed from within any KDE app are
too much of an issue. Even I, when setting up a free-software Desktop
for third parties put OO as the default application suite.

Moreover, this problem of imaging printing has been there for YEARS.
Does someone here is aware of how QT itself is developed? Is it an
inner development in Troll Tech?

This feature is an absolute MUST for koffice to get serious. If int he
development of the GIMP (were I am more involved than here - where I
mostly lurk on the list) we faced such an issue with GTK, we'd press
the GTK guys to include the feature for us.

In short - I strongly believe that if QT printing engine cannot print
a raster image at more than 72DPI, that this feature should be
requested at TrollTech labs, or otherwise implemented by the KDE
team.

What do you say?

You are quite right!
