Subject:    Problem with KOffice desktop files

Hi,
  I had a previous install of KOffice CVS but it was really messed up as only 
some applications would start but other would fail.  So I did a 'make 
uninstall' and manually deleted some other misc files that I thought belonged 
to KOffice.
  I waited about a week and checked out a completely new CVS version of 
KOffice but the problem still remains.  The rest of KDE CVS works fine.

I've even tried manually running kbuildsycoca but nothing in its output would 
suggest anything was wrong either ...

Here's the error:
jesse@mojo-jojo ~ $ kspread
koffice (lib kofficecore): ERROR: Couldn't find the native MimeType in 
kspread's desktop file. Check your installation !

The desktop file in /usr/kde/3.2/share/applnk/Office/kspread.desktop (minus 
all translations ...)
