If you type # kword foo.doc on a shell or if you import a file from kword there is no more mime-type question! Kword claims that the filter is missing as it was discussed in December. The problem is that my installations (at least on 3 computers) are very standard Mandrake 9.1 (latest version) installation, so the problem could be worldwide. > De : David Faure [mailto:dfaure@klaralvdalens-datakonsult.se] > Envoyé : vendredi 2 mai 2003 10:33 > On Thursday 01 May 2003 23:53, Nicolas Brouard wrote: > > Hello, > > I am using Mandrake 9.1 and Koffice and > > # kword foo.doc > > doesn't work even if all the filters are there and it outputs > exactly the same > > messages that was discussed in December on your mailing list. > > But if you rename foo.doc as foo.doc" or foo.doc' (yous should > do that on > > emacs) then it works because kword detects that the file is a > Word 2000 file! > Then your problem is that *.doc is associated with the wrong mimetype. > Open KControl, go to "File Associations", type doc, and check > with mimetype > it's associated with.
