Hello,
I am using Mandrake 9.1 and Koffice and
 # kword foo.doc
doesn't work even if all the filters are there and it outputs exactly the same
messages that was discussed in December on your mailing list.
But if you rename foo.doc as foo.doc" or foo.doc' (yous should do that on
emacs) then it works because kword detects that the file is a Word 2000 file!
Did you solve the problem? What can I do ? Nicolas Brouard

Let's put it this way: The features we already support are imported pretty
well, but the old filter also supported tables, images (which are the next
two items on my TODO for wv2), and embedded documents. Right now wv2 only
imports Word 97+ documents, so this area also needs some more work.

Anyway, please report all the bugs you spot (I'd be highly interested in
crashes, as I couldn't find any in the current filter).

Hmm, I'm not sure about that. I thought adding a small warning at the end of
the configure run is preferable, because noone reads a README file anyway ;-)

Ciao,
Werner
