Hello,

I found a 'hack' to export a chart from kspread to eps:

1) Create the chart to be exported in kspread.
2) Hide everything else in the sheet, for example by using 'hide columns'. If
you have other charts/objects, make at least sure that the chart to be
exported is going to be printed on a separate page without anything else.
3) Print to a file (postscript).
3a) If there is more than one page, extract the page on which is the chart
into a new file, e.g. by using kghostscript.
5) Open the postscript file in a text editor. Find the line (immediately at
the beginning):
  %%BoundingBox: 123 456 789 012
6) Now, adapt the four values of the bounding box until you eliminated the
blank space around your chart to your satisfaction. The values mean in order:
   xstart ystart xstop ystop
with the origin of the coordinate system is the bottom left corner.

Right, that is a lot of effort, which probably only justifies if you want to
export multiple charts. If you give very chart the same size and position
before exporting, you only need to find the bounding box values once.

Which brings me to a question? Is it possible to set the size of a chart (or
any other object) in kspread?

And, does anybody know a tool that converts from ps to eps, doing basically
what I described above, i.e. eliminate blank space around the postscript
objects?

Cheers,
Oliver
