Hello,

I'm running Mandrake 8.2, and I'm trying to upgrade koffice from 1.1.1
to 1.2.1

I've installed the following packages:

kde3-koffice-1.2-3mdk.i586.rpm
libart_lgpl2-2.3.10-2mdk.i586.rpm
kdelibs3-3.0.4-2mdk.i586.rpm
libarts3-1.0.4-1mdk.i586.rpm
kegraphics3-3.0.4-1mdk.i586.rpm

but when I run kword (from /opt/kde3/bin) I get the following errors:

1. From a dialog box,

a DCOP communications error,
'could not read network connection list
 /root/.DCOPserver_localhost__0

please check that the dcopserver program is running

This is curious, because the text output seems to show good DCOP
transactions, such as:

kdeinit: Launched DCOPServer, pid = 3721 result = 0
DCOP: register 'anonymous-3721' -> number of clients is now 1
DCOPServer up and running.
kdeinit: Launched KLauncher, pid = 3725 result = 0
DCOP: unregister 'anonymous-3721'
DCOP: register 'klauncher' -> number of clients is now 1
DCOP: unregister 'klauncher'

2. From the text output,

kio (KSycoca): WARNING: Found version 40, expecting version 49 or
higher.
kio (KSycoca): WARNING: Outdated database found
kio (KSycoca): WARNING: Found version 40, expecting version 49 or
higher.
kio (KSycoca): WARNING: Outdated database found
kio (KSycoca): ERROR: No database available!
kio (KSycoca): ERROR: No database available!
koffice (lib kofficecore): ERROR: Couldn't find the native MimeType in
kword's desktop file. Check your installation !

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Sean C.
