Hmm, I didn't try but all you would have to do to use it with KOffice 1.2.1 
would be to...
... get wv2, of course ;-) (note that the snapshot contains anoncvs 
information, this way it's easier to keep it up to date)
... get the directory koffice/filters/kword/msword from CVS HEAD (e.g. via a 
simple cvs checkout koffice/filters/kword/msword using anoncvs).

Then you would have to copy over the msword directory to the KOffice 1.2.1 
build-tree and run make -f Makefile.cvs again. This is needed that the 
Makefile.cvs picks up the configure.in.in thingy in the msword directory.
Running configure should give you a changed config.h -- it should include a 
variable called HAVE_WV2.

Finally you'd have to compile the msword directory, install it and (this is 
important) remove the file ole_winword_import.desktop from your 
$KDEDIR/share/services directory.

Please inform us if you experience any problems while doing that.
