Kafka never really got off the ground, so you can forget that.

KWord 1.2 is wysiwyg and exports HTML, so maybe that's all you need :-)

Quanta (http://quanta.sf.net) has already been mentioned. It's a superb HTML 
editor which is now also a superb XML/SGML editor in general (as well as many 
other things; everybody go take a look :-).
Like the KOffice apps, Quanta is turning into an excellent all round product 
and development is extremely active. A wysiwyg mode is planned for some time 
in the near future.
