I made install the latest BRANCH kdegraphics, too. I do see the preference
6 in kghostview.desktop and 5 in karbon.desktop, so I don't know why it
happened this way.

Yup, that errors out with something long and hard to read, but only when I
use both files. It doesn't die if I add just ps2ai.ps or just print.ps.
So now I wonder if it's ghostscript's fault or KPrinter's fault.
