You get a nice "not available" embedded object....... 
or a crash if you still have some KDE-2-based kivio around :}

But this would be a packaging hell, for sure (with the packages moving around
at the next release again). And indeed it wouldn't make any difference to the
user anyway, in most cases (e.g. the installation happens more or less
automatically, for people using distributions).
