KWord has mail merge features (see Tools/Configure Mail Merge), using either an internal database (of addresses, saved into the .kwd) or accessing an SQL database. It looks like it can't access the addressbook directly though. However if you create a document using the internal database, and save the doc, you'll find something like this in it: So you could easily generate this XML from the addressbook, bundle it into a .kwd document, and use the mailmerge feature in that document. Make sure to send the addressbook -> XML conversion script so that we can put it up on the website, for other users ;-) - -- David FAURE, david@mandrakesoft.com, faure@kde.org http://people.mandrakesoft.com/~david/ Contributing to: http://www.konqueror.org/, http://www.koffice.org/ KOffice-1.2-rc1 is out. ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/koffice-1.2-rc1/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE9W2m972KcVAmwbhARArydAJ4iwk68WDe4MmjHe/TTx6jwN8vP7ACfcboW GMwoUxWA6r6AOBkWr77qk68= =QST4 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ____________________________________ koffice mailing list koffice@mail.kde.org To unsubscribe please visit: http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/koffice
