First of all, that can be configured in the auto-correction dialog.
You can then just start typing a "bla bla" and it comes out the way you
want it to.  It takes the pain out of the insertion :)

Then maybe your font does not support this char.
Try the Microsoft Arial, I'm sure that one support it!
