my $QTDIR=/usr/lib/qt-2.3.1
./configure
nohup make all &

I've attached my nohup file so you can see the whole output.  I got the same 
error.  One thing I couldn't help but notice is why there is a 'qt3stuff' dir 
in the koffice-1.1.1.tar.bz2 since it runs on QT-2.3.x.  I downloaded the 
stable release not the CVS snapshot.
