From koffice Fri Jan 18 17:06:46 2002 From: Yves BAILLY Date: Fri, 18 Jan 2002 17:06:46 +0000 To: koffice Subject: Wishlist about KPresenter X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=koffice&m=101137376023322 Hello, I've been using KPresenter for a while, to teach C++ language to students (you can see the presentation at http://kafka-fr.net/docs - french only, sorry). Well, KPresenter seems already quite good to me, now I feel the need to send you a little wishlist, some features that would be nice to have in my humble opinion. Sorry if some are already planned and/or implemented. - Printing : it would be nice if it was possible to print several slides on one page ; - HTML slideshow : * I had the need to link some files on some slides, for now I do this by post-processing the HTML with a little Python script (look for example http://kafkafr.nerim.net/docs/langage_cpp-html/html/slide_14.html where three links on files were added to the slide) : maybe add the feature to link external files to slides ? * (not sure if it's a feature or a bug) : if I save the slideshow config, and later I reuse that config after having add some pages, then the newly added pages are not integrated into the slideshow - or they are, but the index is a mess. - Drawing : * a tool to draw an arbitrary polyline (open or closed) would be nice ; * even if I set the horiz and vertical rasters to, say, 5, I can't get a rectangle smaller than 20x20 ; * when drawing a vertical or horizontal line, the line is drawn centered in the enclosing rectangle - which has a width at least 20, which makes it difficult to precisely adjust the line's position : maybe it would be more convenient to remove that enclosing rectangle, and use anchors (or control points) like in XFig ? - Objects' settings : consider for example a text box, which you set up to use a precise font, color, background... The only way to duplicate these settings is to copy-paste that text box. IMHO a little tool to duplicate a set of settings would be handy (there's something like this in MS Word - sorry). - Texts : it doesn't seem possible (yet ?) to have a numbered list... and for very simple tables, the embeding of KSpread is a pain, it would be very handy to have a KWord-like table tool. Well, that's all (for now ;-). Anyway, I repeat it, I found you did a great job !
