Since 16/Dec/2001:06:27:32 (a 5 day period) http://download.kde.org and 
http://ftp.kde.org have registered the following request

822 unique IPs requested for KDE 2.2
1611 unique IPs requested for KDE 2.2.1
2417 unique IPs requested for KDE 2.2.2
208 unique IPs requested for KDE 3.0alpha1
1751 unique IPs requested for KDE 3.0beta1
265 unique IPs requested for KOffice 1.1
2796 unique IPs requested for KOffice 1.1.1

A total of 9326 unique IPs requested for anything from /stable or /unstable.

In the week prior to this (a 7 day period) a total of 8001 unique IPs 
requested for anything from /stable or /unstable. (834 of those IPs were seen 
in both periods)

It should be noted that this doesn't necessarily mean that all these people 
actually downloaded KDE. Actual downloads are handled by the mirrors and are 
logged separately. It also doesn't necessarily mean that each IP represents 
exactly 1 person.
