Control Center -> Look & Feel -> Colors -> In the dropdown list "Widget
color", the last entry is "Alternate background in lists".

This is on my todo list, to let the alternate colour default to something with
enough contrast to the text colour.

OS/Compiler notes: I downloaded binaries, so I'm not sure if the compiler is relevant

On my system, the file selector in all of the koffice applications displays results \
with the background color alternating between the regular window background color and \
a darker color. This is a great idea--it makes lines in the fileselector easier to \
hit with the mouse. Unfortunately the dark color is so dark that my black text \
doesn't show up very well against it. :(

I've looked around KDE and have been unable to find a color setting for the \
alternating highlight lines in the file selector.

I think it would be nice if the alternate-line highlighting were done very subtly, \
with only a slight variation of the normal window background color. This would keep \
things readable but still make the file selector more usable.

Thanks for Koffice!

zo.
