I think we have a terminology issue here.  Ralf refers to
'settings->general->filter->show equity accounts'.  When this is
enabled, the equity accounts that get displayed in the Payee view
Default account and in Accounts view are in fact stocks.

I think to accountants, equity is something else.

In the case, say, of dividend payments, an incoming transaction to a
stock may not refer to the stock, and perhaps Ralf wants to select an
equity/stock to be applied by default.
