No. ;-)
But you can use knotify to beep or to play a specific sound file or to 
pop up a message box. So you can use it to get notified only if some 
important messages arrive and not for all new messages (which is really 
annoying if you are on some mailing lists).

If icons can be hidden in the sysTray then there should be no problem 
because KMail should get notified by some signals if it's activated.
And if icons can't be hidden in the sysTray then the sysTray needs to 
be improved.
