I don't understand what you mean here.
Does it fail for you? It should only fail if you try to compile against 
Qt3. I'm having no problems here.
Or do you want someone to make corresponding changes to KMail?
I tried it with KNode and it is a whole lot of work, esp. since the 
kdelibs headers constantly fail.
And then, you won't catch all the linking and runtime problems. 
(Implicite QRegExp's come to mind).
