IMHO simply adding a new system folder called > 'Templates' would suffice. I was thinking about those people who would like to have multiple template folders. In my experience, users often like to sort their mails/templates/whatever by projects. This is made impossible by a single, system-wide template folder. I agree that most home users will (probably) use a single template folder. In an enterprise environment however, splitting things up can be an absolute neccessity. (On my last job, I once saw a user with ~30 "project directories", each of them with about 10-15 subfolders - and he really did need them) Also, if You have to hand over a project, it is much easier to just copy/forward/... *one* complete subtree (possibly including mail templates) instead of having to look for project files all over the place. I think what it boils down to is: are messages to be sorted a) by their 'type' (mail/template/news/..) --> one system folder b) by their content (projectA/projectB/...) --> every folder can hold e.g. templates Unfortunately, I cannot see a way to reconcile those two views. Perhaps I am just thinking too far along the KMail/Knode convergence line :-) I'll just leave the choice to all you KMail gurus :-) BTW: if we stick to "multiple folders", perhaps changing the mini icon in the tree view (as for system folders) might be a good idea Florian -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE7eZEDIHY1JB8ZhlERAja2AJ90sTDJurAc/6JEjuUdKoVt+s7u6gCfRl1y 3149Ec9InzFZfmzGrd1CKlo= =JCyS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Kmail Developers mailing list Kmail@master.kde.org http://master.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kmail
