IMHO simply adding a new system folder called=20 'Templates' would suffice. > Still to do: > - disable showing the "isTemplateFolder" flag for system folders > right now it is shown, but activating a msg will *always* open a > composer This will be obsolete if we only have one Template system folder. > - find a way to edit the templates instead of spawning new ones. > Probably with entries in context menu and "Message" main menu If you choose "Edit" from the "Message" menu then the template should=20 be edited. You should add a new entry to compose a message from a=20 template. Something like "New message from template". > - add menu option for instantiating the template > - disable reply (also forward?) buttons when in template folder IMHO that's not necessary. But the context menu should be similar to=20 the context menu shown in the drafts folder. [snip] > RFC: > Is it OK to copy all headers except Msg-ID from the template? Also removing the X-Mailer header=20 wouldn't harm. But maybe this is also overwritten. All other headers=20 don't need to be removed IMHO.
