John Cane was so kind as to raise the subject on the corresponding ietf
mailing list. It seems we hit a hole in the specification and they will
probably fix it soon (by forbidding 0x80-0xff chars in armor).
I included John's summary and think that for 2.2.1, we should do it as
he suggests (modulo PGP not being able to da an equivalent).
