Package: kmail
Version: 1.2 (using KDE 2.1.2 )
Severity: normal
Installed from: RedHat RPMs
Compiler: gcc 2.96
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

The default KMail application directory ($HOME/Mail)
is not configurable.

This is most annoying to long-time Unix users, who
expect applications to create application-specific
directories that being with `dot' so they don't pollute
home directory listings. While I would greatly prefer
KMail create its application directory as a `dot' directory
by default ($HOME/.kmail), if for some reason you
can't do that at least make it configurable so people
who want to can *make* it a `dot' directory.
