Hhm, but then there is more wrong. We also encode the headers that way.

I once inserted that, because someone complained about additional spaces 
being inserted in Japanese headers. In Japan people don't use the space 
character.

Interestingly a CRLF SPACE combination directely between two RFC2047 encoded 
strings does not mean a real space, if I understand section 2 of that RFC 
correctely. This case is now handled wrong with your change.
