Subject: kmail crash on startup
From: gianpaolo@preciso.net

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.1.1
Severity: normal
Installed from: Mandrake RPMs
Compiler: Mandrake 8.0
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

Today kmail creashed when I was compose a reply to a large (50+) number of \
recipients. After that kmail refuses to startup, just giving me this error (when \
                launched from a terminal):
KCrash: crashing.... crashRecursionCounter = 2
KCrash: Application Name = kmail path = <unknown>
Unable to start dr. konqi
ERROR: KUniqueApplication: DCOP communication error!
Note that I deleted .kde/share/kmail and the .kde/share/apps/kmailrc
The bug seems similar to the #21807 that as been marked as support issue.
I think is a bug, maybe kmail has screwd up some files around... I'm sure tha \
resetting the whole .kde dir will solve(?!) the situation, but I don't want to setup \
mi kde environment every three week or so. A friend of mine had the same problem, \
though I don't know exactly if the first crash happened in the same situation as \
mine. Thanks again for your work.

gianpaolo
