I asked about this a few days ago - when I became a new user of kmail. I 
certainly thought that I had missed a configuration option somewhere.

At the moment, I have font size set to Courier New 10 point.  In the message 
body it looks good (but I think it is probably a lot larger than it should 
be, because in the composer window ...) it looks terrible.

At minimum - they should be the same in both windows (and ideally the same 
size as the sample you see when you select the font).  What I would also like 
is that quoted text in the composer window follows the same conventions for 
colour as the message body (other mail packages I have seen do this by 
recognizing the first characters of the line rather than any wonderful 
technique of keeping track - but I would be happy just to see the colour 
planted when it is first written and then left [but that does mean that the 
cursor must be left on a line in which the colour is correct for no 
indentation])

I think there might also be a problem with line spacing in these two windows. 
Again, ideally to please everybody, I suspect it would be best to make it a 
configurable option, but at the moment it appears too far apart.
