if you put it there as well), then press teh mouse on the first mail and
then know the shortcut to select the whole thread or hold shift and
select the last mail in the thread. Whereas on a column, this is two
clicks away: first click the column to sort by thread, then click on the
thread icon in that column. What's more usable and transparent to the
user ? I guess you know that this is a rhetoric question :)
